OSS Recap: Delaware Speedway

Friday June 17 found the OSS hitting the newly paved Delaware Speedway for the first time this season.

After group qualifying points leader #15 Michael Hryniuk Jr was atop the charts, narrowly missing the track record.

Under windy cool conditions the field took the green flag with Hryniuk Jr jumping out to the lead closely pursued by the 38 of Derek McCullough.  20 laps in the 2 of Todd Sheppard began his charge towards the front reeling in the top 2 . Lap 39 saw the 2 finally get inside the 15 and taking the lead. The rest of the race saw Todd continue to slowly widen his lead as Michael and Derek raced closely for 2nd.

The race went green for the full 100 laps with the 2 crossing the line first , followed by the 15 ahead of the 38.

2 cars making their 2022 OSS debuts rounded out the top 5 with Doug Cathcart 4th and Rob Windis 5th.

The series resumes with their make up race at Full Throttle Speedway this weekend.
