This past weekend marked a highly anticipated event on the calendar — the Iron Man 100 at Sunset Speedway — and we were beyond excited to hit the track for what promised to be an unforgettable night of racing action. With high stakes, tight competition, and a passionate crowd in attendance, the atmosphere was electric. Yet, as we rolled into the weekend, there was a bittersweet feeling in the air. With the future uncertain, this may have been our final weekend at Sunset Speedway, a place that has brought so many great memories. Still, we were determined to put on a great show and leave it all on the track.
And what a show it was. From the drop of the green flag to the final caution, drivers battled hard, trading positions and swapping paint as the laps ticked down. Though ending under caution, the finish was a true nail-biter, and the action throughout kept fans on the edge of their seats.
When the dust settled and the checkered flag flew, it was Connor James #33 who emerged victorious under caution, capping off a strong drive with a hard-earned win. Shawn McGlynn #9 followed close behind, securing second place with a gritty performance, while Todd Sheppard #47 rounded out the podium with a solid third-place finish. Brendan Patrick #02 came home fourth after a consistent run, and rookie driver Paul Bogensberger Jr. #29 impressed everyone with a standout fifth-place finish in one of the most competitive fields we’ve seen all season.
As this marks the finale of our 2025 season, we’ll now begin the process of tallying final points standings, and we’ll be announcing the final championship positions shortly. It’s been an incredible journey filled with tight battles, emotional wins, and unforgettable moments.
We want to extend a huge thanks to long time partner Akal Steel for their unwavering support in getting us to the track. And of course, thank you to our drivers, fans, and partners for helping make the 2025 season one to remember.
We’re proud of what we accomplished — and even more grateful for the community that made it all possible.
