Connor James fends off stiff competition to claim 3rd victory

Posted on: July 30th, 2025

A very exciting race at Sauble Speedway! The Patriot 100 was a whirlwind of ups and downs for many drivers, last year’s Sauble Speedway OSS winner Ollie Ferguson started us off with the green flag and we ended with another Two Speed Motorsports win for Connor James in his #33. Connor once again led the entire race, winning pole as well. Battling with Shawn McGlynn for most of the night, Connor wasn’t without his competition but ended up on top at the end of the race!

Kevin Trevellin in the #19 captured a second place finish at the end of the Patriot 100! Starting in sixth, Kevin was spun in the first quarter of the race and as an involved car was sent to the back of the pack. Climbing his way back to the front, a restart on lap 95 bunched the pack together and Kevin launched his way to the front coming right behind Connor James, a fantastic finish for the TrevCo Motorsports Team!

The Brimstone Games Racing team ran a great race at Sauble Speedway with special guest racer Amber Balcaen Racing taking a third place finish. Amber shook some nerves into our OSS competitors charging through the pack, she was involved in several cautions and was sent to the back twice however, that wasn’t going to stop the #47, climbing her way back to the front, beating out Kevin Gallant in the #31 for a third place finish!

The Flyin’ Farmer Kevin Gallant #31 landed a respectable forth place finish, getting all his practices in, Kevin was fast, and started third in our feature race. Shawn McGlynn in the Jackman #9, being right behind Connor James for the majority of the night, appeared to be gaining on the #33 towards the last 10 laps of the Patriot 100! As that rubber was wearing fast, the restart at lap 95 saw him fish tail on that front stretch and Kevin Trevellin, Amber Balcaen, and Kevin Gallant jetted past Shawn. Holding onto a fifth place finish, Shawn and Connor are now almost tied for most wins in Ontario Sportsman Series history. Shawn will definitely be coming for that first place finish at Delaware Speedway!

Some highlights of the night!
– Kyle Istead and Cooper Aubertin, both OSS rookies in 2025, ran the entire 100 lap race after learning this track for the first time!

Once again thank you to KAM Wire EDM Technologies Inc. and Mighty Wipes for putting on a great show! We’d also like to thank the staff at Sauble Speedway for making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night!

Get ready for some high speed action as we return to Delaware Speedway on July 11th!
